About DXO

DXO is a new unique version of Renju, the famous Japanese game, also known as Gomoku, Five Stones, Connect Five Stones, Connect Five, Noughts and Crosses, and Gobang.

 

The purpose of the game is to build a continuous horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row consisting of 5 own stones in any direction (the five).

The game can be played concurrently by two players or a player and computer.

The players take turns to place their slabs on the board. Each slab occupies two board squares one of which is marked as ‘cross’ and the other, as ‘nought’.

The first player builds the five of ‘crosses’ and the other, of ‘noughts’.

On each move, the player may place one slab on any board squares not occupied by the slabs placed earlier.

The slabs placed on the board remain on their sites till the end of the game; they can be neither replaced nor removed.

 

Features of the game:

  • Unlike Renju, DXO ensures players equal rules of the game while maintaining for them equal opportunities.

  • The DXO game is an exciting entertainment when played either with the computer or a partner.

  • The game develops logical reasoning, ability to concentrate attention for a long time, and strengthens memory. The game also provides players nice and interesting leisure.

  • Two board size: 15x15 and 25x25.
